Interested to know what was my journey like?

I come from a conservative family from the South of India, Chennai a metropolitan city. The reason I say conservative is because my dad who was a Vet Doc retired as Deputy Director of Animal husbandry of Tamil Nadu, he had a very strong conviction that women are not meant to work in any office fearing that we might face some harassment at the workplace. This was already seeded in me as one of the limiting beliefs since a child. Hence I could only complete Bachelor's just to maintain the dignity of the family and for social status.

After marriage, I completed my master's in Journalism and Mass communication my son was born by then, and a couple of years later I completed my master's in Human Resource Management. However, I was not allowed to go to work as my in-laws and my husband had the same ideology as my dad.

When I was in my teens, there was an eye donation campaign widely spread and I decided to pledge my eyes, I influenced my sister too and we both registered our names to pledge our eyes.

In the meantime, we had traveled and lived in Singapore, Malaysia & Melbourne. In 2005 we went back to India and I started to work in a company as an HR executive. Once again in 2011, we had the opportunity to come back to Australia. Within a year I started to work as a casual staff in Admin role with Reader's Digest. They made me as a permanent staff, but in customer service role. Thereafter my career path completely changed as there was no support or guidance for me to pursue my career as HR in Australia.

After my dad's demise in 2018, I had many things happening in my married life too. Things were crumbling in my life, the loss of my dad, destructive marriage, my work was challenging due to Covid. I decided not to live in pain, but I struggled to sought ways to move forward. A change is never easy to accept. Accepting the ground reality shook me vigorously and I learnt to accept the defeats and disappointments. I understood one thing if I don't do anything about my current situation, I would be stuck in the same situation forever and I will attract more and more of uncertainty in my life. My Journey was with ebbs and flows. Whatever I could do to keep my mind functioning and not rusted I did all of that. I learnt to play sudoku, joined Toastmasters, took leadership role in toastmasters, connected with new people expanding my networks, working on my mindset and emotions, studied life coaching, NLP course, became an accredited consultant in DISC profile, became Justice of Peace in NSW, was also involved in voluntary activities for the community.

Since, the time I could remember from my childhood, I have always enjoyed helping others. When I was in my teens, there was an eye donation campaign widely spread and I decided to pledge my eyes, I influenced my sister too and we both registered our names to pledge our eyes. Later without informing my parents I donated my blood. Although my parents disapproved of my act, I felt really good of that deed. After I got my citizenship here in Australia, I registered for Organ & Tissue Donation. I realized that these causes will be of help only after I die. However, I decided to help my community when I'm still alive.

I believe it's my destiny. Today I have established myself as a career coach, life coach, NLP & Time Line therapy practitioner.

Today I help immigrants in Australia, who are struggling to fit into this culture, for those who are lacking the confidence to communicate in a broad spectrum, to those who are finding it hard to develop the network for professional and social growth, for those who are unable to pursue the career of their interest, for those who are stuck in career progression.

I want to serve them the best as it is this path which I have crossed, today I have established myself as a career coach, life coach, NLP & Time Line therapy practitioner. I believe it's my destiny. I couldn't pursue my career as a HR in Australia, however with the learnings and experience I have gathered over the years today I have created a program for my clients which will add huge value both in their personal and professional life.

The Legacy I would like to create

By 2023 my mission is to set up a charity for women who are affected by domestic violence by providing the resources to empower them, to raise their standards of life, to be successful in the field of their interest.

To provide educational support for children who are deprived of education, due to the underprivileged background.
